As I was paying our Costco bill yesterday, that reminded me to check on where we might find Costco stores on our trip. We like to check out the stores in other cities to see what they may have that is unique to the area. When we were in Honolulu several years ago, my friend Lori introduced us to chocolate covered macadamia nuts at Costco, and DH bought an authentic Hawaiian shirt from there. On our Middle States trip, we stopped at the Costco in Traverse City, Michigan, and that's where we found cherry barbecue potato chips. These were from a local potato chip company period and they were so good!
We also like to buy our gasoline there so that is part of why I wanted to see where they are located in case there are some along our planned route. I was excited to find there is one in Clermont, right on the way to Disney World! I didn't know there was one there!
I also wanted to find where the most southern Costco is before heading down to the Keys. It's in Kendall. Another one we will probably use is in Bradenton; it serves as a landmark for heading to visit cousin Carolynn on our way back up the west coast of Florida.
We won't be going by a Buc-ee's but the news announced yesterday that our area is likely to be getting one!! That's pretty exciting. (In St. Augustine, the Costco is right next to Buc-ee's.)

There's a nice Costco in Boca Raton, if you're taking 95 to Fort Lauderdale. We had our first Buc-ees experience in Daytona on our way to Delray Beach. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's one I had seen that seemed convenient. We are trying to avoid the freeway as much as possible, but it seems when you get down that way, you kinda have to hop on.
