Hot Springs Trolley Tour

One of our favorite ways to explore a new city is to take a sight-seeing tour that will give an overview of what there is to see and do while providing history and context that you won't get as easily when exploring on your own.  In Hot Springs, there is a Trolley Tour that runs several times a day that fit the bill.

The National Park Service offers a Duck Tour, but we opted to use the Hot Springs Trolley because those Duck tour vehicles make me nervous.  The Trolley tour lasted about 90 minutes and took us through the downtown area, through the historic homes section (and passed by the Air BnB we stayed at!), and then went up West Mountain to the top for some beautiful vista views.

A highlight of the tour was getting to fill our souvenir water containers (that also served as our boarding pass) from one of the cool springs in town.

What about you?  Do you do sight-seeing tours or are you more likely to just explore on your own?
