Day 2, McKee Botanical Gardens

After a full 1st day, we were glad to have had a good rest at Old Key West, but it was a new day, and the Lord’s Day, so we spent our morning worshipping at Fortune Road church of Christ where a long-time online friend and family worship. We had met one other time in real life but are Facebook friends, so we keep up with each other that way.  Although she reminded me we had first become acquainted through Pleonast, a social media platform I had completely forgotten about belonging to!

From there, it was less than 2 hours to Vero Beach via US 441 and FL-60 through Yeehaw Junction.  We were headed to McKee Botanical Gardens for the afternoon while waiting for time to check in for our accommodations for the next 3 nights. (Turns out, our room was ready early, but we still went to the gardens.)

McKee Gardens is part of the reciprocal garden network so our AHS membership saved us $40. (It only cost $50 last year, so we certainly got our money's worth!)

They were having a Lego exhibition so there was a steady stream of people there. Most of my pictures were of Lego murals or creations.  Here are a few favorites.

And of course I have a few #flowersmakemehappy pictures to share!

Have you been to McKee gardens?
