Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

If you ever get to upper Michigan, we highly recommend taking a boat tour of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.  This place is spectacular.  The natural formations and sheer beauty of the cliffs and water is breathtaking.

We used Pictured Rocks Cruises for a 2 1/2 hour boat tour of Lake Superior with a focus on the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.  They are an authorized concessionaire to take guests to see this protected area under the supervision of the National Park Service.  We took the Spray Falls tour which goes over 30 miles with up-close views of the Pictured Rocks.  Captain Dave has been running and narrating these tours for 40 years.  What's great about this tour is that it doesn't matter which side of the boat you sit on - because it comes right back the same way and they makes sure you have time to get your pictures.

We had too many pictures to upload one-by-one so I made a highlight video of our favorites.

Enjoy!
