A month away...

We spent the first week of January on a cruise to St. Thomas and Tortola where the weather was warm (high 70s/low 80s) while it was in the 20s and 30s at home.  It was a nice escape from the cold.  I haven't looked ahead to see what the weather might be like for our Edges of South Florida itinerary nor the ports of call for the cruise portion on the trip, but after being home for just a few days of colder, drearier weather, I think I'll be happy for anything warmer and sunnier!  February is often a difficult month for me mood-wise which I believe is directly related to limited sunlight and warmth.  So I am looking forward to having something different to do this year - my first February as a retiree!

For our Middle States trip, I pre-planned most of our days' activities, but for this trip, I'm trying something different.  I'm making a menu of options which we can decide on the night before as to what we'd like to do.  There are a few days that we have something already reserved, but for the most part, we can choose based on how we feel and what the weather is like.  I received a tourism packet from Indian River County just this week so I'll be going through it to mark the things we might be interested in.

We leave in a month!
